Welcome to the Red Lion Inn

Nestling in the East Staffordshire countryside seven miles west of Burton-on-Trent is the small picturesque village of Newborough. The Red Lion sits in the centre of the village and offers a comfortable environment to recharge your batteries after an excursion into the countryside or unwind after a day at work.

Simon and Claire took over the pub in June 2008, whilst maintaining the family orientation of the pub, Simon and Claire also offer a wide selection of delicious, freshly prepared food which is a mix of contemporary and traditional dishes, all cooked to order using, where possible fresh local produce together with a regularly changing guest ales and good old hospitality, it really is an ideal pub for families, tourists and visitors alike.

There are two bars. The lounge bar leads into the restaurant and the main bar with games that include darts, dominoes, poker and juke box.

Outside there is also a covered smoking area and beer garden with games for the children.

Monday to Saturday 12pm - 11pm (Restaurant 12pm-9pm)
Sunday 12pm - 11pm (Sunday Lunch 12pm-6pm)
